Francis Clark Wood, Philadelphia, Pa., cardiologist and educator, was born in South Africa in 1901. He married Mary Louise Woods in 1926; they had three children. Wood died on 16 Dec. 1990. Wood received a B.A. from Princeton University, 1922, and an M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, 1926. William Osler Abbott was born in New Bedford, Mass., on 26 July 1902. His mother was a niece of physician Sir William Osler. W. Osler Abbott, nicknamed "Pete", married Lucy Waldo in 1928. They had three children. On 10 Sept. 1943, Abbott died of myelogenous leukemia. Abbott received an M.D. in 1928 from the University of Pennsylvania.
